London Fruit and Wool Exchange

London Fruit and Wool Exchange

Bells Power is proud to have been part of this landmark project located in Central London. The new building, which sits behind the Fruit & Wool Exchange's historic retained façade on Bushfield Street, provides 460,000 square feet of high-quality office and retail space over six storeys.

We have successfully delivered the installation of two - FG Wilson P2250-1 11KV gensets along with its fuel system and their ancillaries. A bespoke mains synchronising load control and monitoring system of two HV switch boards, five LV switch boards, four risers and over twenty tap off units.

Our in-house team designed, built, installed and commissioned the complete control system.

At the heart of our control system is a Allen Bradley Compact Logix simplex PLC, programmed with studio 5000 software. Communicating to five outstations over a fibre device level ring ethernet network.

Each outstation uses the Allen Bradley point I/O control system to interface with local switch board for control and statuses. To ensure the power does not fail each outstation has its own battery backed DC UPS supply.

The mains synchronising and G59 protection is controlled with the ComAp Intelligent range of Controllers. The diesel generators are pre-installed with IG-NTC-BB controllers and InteliVision IV5 colour screens.

The HMI interface is from three panel mounted touchscreen PC’s programmed with the Allen Bradley factory talk view ME graphical package.

The control system can be fully monitored via a third party system (BMS) over a Modbus TCIP connection.
